Our Commonly Used Marine Metals

Stainless Steel Sheet & Tube 304 (AMS5566)

We supply stainless steel type 304 in sheet, plate and tube. Type 304 stainless steel is an austenitic nickel alloy with a low carbon content, with good strength and oxidation resistance for use in marine components.

Stainless steel contains molybdenum, making it resistant to salt-water corrosion such as pitting. We also supply steel bar products to the marine industry.

Marine Aluminium

Aluminium products are lightweight with high strength and durability, frequently used in shipbuilding for hulls and shipyard infrastructure. Mixed with chromium, magnesium or silicon, aluminium alloys are corrosion-resistant, making aluminium among the most widely-used marine metals.

Yellow Metals: Marine Brass and Copper

Naval Brass CZ112 (C46400) is a copper-zinc alloy with excellent seafaring qualities such as corrosion resistance. Because of its ability to withstand high heat, brass can be used for piping or condensers in marine applications. It is also perfect for pumps and marine fasteners.

Copper alloys are also widely used in underwater tubing, water lines and desalination equipment as they are resistant to corrosion and have high ductility. Copper can be strengthened with nickel and manganese.
