MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT FOR ALL METAL SERVICES LTD
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement, made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, summarises the steps we have taken as a business to address the risk of slavery, servitude, forced, compulsory or bonded labour, or human trafficking (collectively, “Modern Slavery”) in our operations and supply chain.
OUR ORGANISATION, STRUCTIRE AND SUPPLY CHAINS
All Metal Services Ltd (AMS) is a private company limited by shares organized and existing under the laws of the United Kingdom. AMS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Steel & Aluminium Co. (www.rsac.com), a publicly traded corporation headquartered in the United States. AMS’ primary business is the processing and distribution of metal products (primarily aluminium) to the Aerospace industry. AMS purchases material from primary producers (mills), carries that material in inventory and distributes it to end users, including OEMs that support the aerospace industry. AMS also provides early stage processing services, Plate, Bar, Sheet and Tube cutting, as well as Waterjet cutting, Plastic Coating and CNC Machining at the request of our customers.
OUR APPROACH AND POLICIES
The AMS Employment Handbook applies to all AMS employees. The AMS Employment Handbook expressly addresses our commitment to creating a positive work environment, and contains a whistle blowing policy. In 2017 we added a policy against Modern Slavery. All AMS employees are required to conduct themselves in compliance with AMS’ Employment Handbook.
The AMS Employment Handbook is supported by a number of Reliance Group-level policies which set out standards for our risk management and internal control systems.
Supplier Evaluation and Due Diligence Processes
We undertake due diligence when evaluating new suppliers and we are in the process of reviewing our existing suppliers. Our due diligence process includes: identifying and assessing product or geographical risks of Modern Slavery, evaluating Modern Slavery risks through supplier management; and terminating relationships with suppliers that violate our zero tolerance position against Modern Slavery.
OUR EVALUATION OF RISK
- Risk of slavery and human trafficking in our business
Taking into account the senior management’s oversight, the absence of any significant subcontractor relationships and the absence to date of reports of concerns or incidents regarding forced labour, AMS considers the risk of Modern Slavery within our direct employee population to be very low.
- Risk of slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain
We are committed to ensuring that our suppliers adhere to the highest standards of ethics. Suppliers are required to declare that they provide safe working conditions, treat workers with dignity and respect, and act ethically and within the law in their use of labour. Accordingly, we consider the risk of Modern Slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain to be very low.
